You are a lucky man having NOS bumpers.

Yes I am but I've had the car 14 years I got both the bumpers brand new quite a few years ago think they were some of last VW had.

The mirrors, door handles, number plate holder, all the lights were also NOS parts.

Yep 2 house moves and 3 kids just after I bought it didn't help!

But yes determined to get on with it now.

Cambelt and water pump removed today

Wasn't too bad a job.

the outside looks great well done.

How's the build going

Build going ok thanks everyone I'm going to tackle the fuel lines in the next few weeks so will update the post with what I've done! 

Dropped the rear axle today and fitted my new powder coated one.
Fitted all new genuine parts to the axle plus new genuine shocks, springs, rear brakes and handbrake cables.

Gonna move onto fuel lines, fuel pump and accumulator next!
