Drew to step down from Chairman at the next AGM

Thanks Drew.

Without a doubt this site helped me get a good deal on my Cabby last year. I'd already made my mind up to buy it, a quick google led me straight here and i haven't left since.

My only regret is that last year my summer holiday clashed with Gaydon so i have not been able to meet some of you that i have talked with on the forums. Unfortunately, i will miss it again this year…

Don't know many of the people you mentioned in your thanks list Drew, but i do know Crazyquiff from the Berkshire region meets. If he decides to stand as Chairman i would second that proposal, however i will support whoever decides to stand!

Thanks again Drew

You've done a fantastic job Drew. At the next shows you can relax instead of having the ponder the organiser side of things!

And heck. Without this site I probably wouldn't have my own Mk1!

Thanks for all your efforts Drew.  Like most other people here, if it wasn't for this site, I would never have bought a MK1 and so would never have known the joys of ownership.

Good luck for the future.

Hi Drew,

I'm sad to hear you are stepping down from the position of Chairman as you've done a fantastic job and made the site what it is today;
A fine collection of people who share the same passion for a very special little car.

I can totally understand your reasoning and all the best for the future!  :D

I only hope your replacement can fill the large shoes you have left behind in terms of commitment, passion and club etiquette.

3 cheers for Drew, "Hip-hip"……

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday :D

And own 2 of the little buggers (Even more skint), this site has brought me another love The mk1.
It has also got my wife into the little beauts and given us more things in common and offically given me my own Dubchick, everyday smiles when driving the cars, i have never been on a site that has so many members, constant posting, help and advice which could not have been without you, it is a true measure of your hard work which i am sure all of us here really do appreciate.
Best wishes fella
Pete

i'll add my thanks  8)

You've done an awesome job and its a testament the way the sites grown.  I direct ANY mk1 owner towards this site, and i'm really happy how the membership is becoming more and more diverse with no real bad effect on teh site.

I can only see it growing more tbh  8)

anyway, brilliant work and thanks from me!
