82 restro - bonrath top mounts!!

After putting in new arches i found some old crappy filler in the rear quarter panel and some damage to the upper arch..
 
I ground it all out and have skimmed it with fresh filler prior to primering

I repaired the rear end then undersealed it…

Then primered it..

I `v also prepped the inside minus the boot bin hole as i`m cutting out an original piece of GTI for this which i hopefully will be doing on the weekend

Also finished preppeing the inside of the doors

And the passenger side too,nearlly there !!

What colour are you going to paint it BTW the original Lhasa Green, any other mods planned?

Im going to keep with its origanal colour and replace/restore all the origanal trim. Had the wheels that came with it restored looking very shiny!! got a few plans for the brakes + suspension. I wont do much with the engine till the end off this year so i can do a few shows as they are fast approaching. Whats the score with yours ? :dontknow:

Mine is the pearl white one down there. Pretty much the same boat as you I have new suspension and exhaust to go on, all new window seal and trim. The engine and interior will be staying fairly stock until next year then probably go down the 2l 16v route.

Really want it back on the road soon, just had a lift in 1.1 MK I and was grinning all the way was a little flyer was well impressed.

More progress has been made went down last weekend to help start putting it all back togther. Interior is 99% in just needs a good scrub. Wheels have been re-furb (RSR wheels and tyres~Sutton) done a spot on job. Just waiting on the final bits to be painted doors are done just the boot hatch and bonnet. Once again big thaks to timski for all his hard work and doing such a good job :clap: ,also charlie for his help with the interior :y: . Pics were taken on a phone so quality might not be as good. Will put more pics up soon as the doors etc are fitted.
