Re: cooling system pressurisation. Have you posted a Q in the engine section? There is bound to be someone who has had the same problem in the past…
Without trying  to sound all gloom & doom - you don't think it could head gasket related? Perhaps the combustion gases are leaking into the cooling system. Have you got any other symptoms?  :dontknow:

not sure how much its lowered by shall have a measure and tell you i can only just get my hand between the wheel and the arches though .
I did post a thing on the engine part of the site and tried everything everyone suggested i need to test the water again for combustion gases the aa guy did it on the side of the road and it came up negative. but im gettin a load of polished bits together to get the engine lookin sweet so am gonna get it reconned any way. she smokes something chronic when im hard breaking or going down hill im thinking piston rings or valve seals. so will get the head gasket done when i get her reconned. it has done 194,000!!

Thanks Key_Ring ….. nope, it's been painted in Green Pearl (looks Green or Blue Depending on the light).  I think it was actually a Corrado colour.
