I have a black golf. Don't know whether I will put the rear stripe on it once I've finished the work.  I wasn't as fortunate as you the bodywork requires quite a bit of work :cry:

I had a black one  8)  
The black is the nicest colour in them  8)
but very hard to keep  :cry:
where as the white always looks good
and from what i have heard is very rare
as no one liked the white, so not alot were sold  
i could be wrong  ops:

Beautiful car though. Golf GTIs have always managed to pull 'white' off well. Even the new mk5 looks good in white. It's sudden death for most cars.

Your Golf's looking well cool mate, Fair play. A White Mk1 as always done it for me.  

The interior looks absolutely beautiful mate, the rear seats look like they haven't even been sat on. A credit to you and the previous owners. (I say this as i jet wash me boot liner as it was stored for years with stuff in it that has left it's mark…..) Now if only i could get the bloody sunroof to stop leaking…..
Nice wheels as well, and body etc, etc. damn I have some work ahead of me.

Right have rebuilt my 1.9 dx engine  
soon to go in along with rebuilt box
and a new head i have spent ,what seems like years on    :mrgreen:  
Ps i did not like the 1.8 on the on Block lol  
The Dx and number on the front is enough .

Took the car to the MOT today and one of the fellas wanted to buy it  
 
I have found owning a mk1 ,means no pace when it comes to mot
your golf   , but i do in true mk1 owner fashion ,lap it up  :mrgreen:
