Regional 'Massives' - Design your own Club Banners now!!

Ok, with the regional meets/massives really taking off now we (the club/committee) would like to give something back.

Design your own Regional Banner to proudly display at your regional meets, at National Shows and of course, at Gaydon!

The club will meet 50% of the cost and we would ask that each region clubs together for the other 50%. We would also ask that the following criteria are met;

1. The tintop and cabby club logos along with URL for this site are on the banner
2. The banner is 'clean' (not rude!) in keeping with the clubs ethos

Other than that, it's pretty much free reign to have what you like on it. I would ask though that all designs are submitted to me for approval prior to final manufacture along with cost confirmation.

If you need a contact for getting the banner done let me know and to give you an indication our club banner (as seen on piccy below at Classic Car Show) cost under ?100 so no lavish spends please!!

I look forward to seeing your designs

Just an idea - or am I too late …..?

- would it be an idea for the club to invest in a proper 'stand' or frame for the banner - in the pic above the banner would have been seen far better from farther afield, may have attracted more visitors, and apart from being safer (too easy to stand all over it) would have looked more professional. I know the event was superbly organised at the last minute……just an idea for the future.

Owning a Mk1 cabby is a vertical learning curve…

The banner is only on the floor for that pic!! It was hung up on the back of the BMW stand   (Kind chaps they were!)

We have a stand for soft ground but something a bit better will be done for next Classic Motor Show in case we aren't next to BMW again!!

North East One

This is only simple, and only a prototype, 5-10mins work

I was wondering what regional variations we might get on the banners….

North West - "'appen its T'mk1 owners club, pet."
Berkshire - "Mk1s don't you know, fnar fnar, pass the pimms."
London - "Wkd mk1 posse init sorted"
South West - "Ooh arr, 'aven't seen one of them for years."

I'm sure I'll get shot down in flames for promoting regional stereotypes, but I thought it was amusing….

Cheers,

Drew.

Just like the days of Madchester and all things baggy……

The original 'Massive' hailed from the North West…

Would it surprise you all that this topic was covered at one of our meets way back in…. ooooohhh…

2005?

Things are already in the pipeline so keep your eyes peeled!!!

Dan

Just a thought, as there is only ONE original 'Massive' can I/ We retrospectively patent the title so that those Suvenors can't pretend anymore?

Drew… you judging skills are required here!!

Banner.

Hi, :D
Does anyone have the physical artwork for the tin top and cab logos available.

I am drafting up some visuals for MK1 jim for the Derbyshire meet. But when i print i will need some form of artwork. Otherwise i can create from the site logo but will take a while to draw up.

Many Thanks
Andy
