my new rims!

Can I be awkward and say polished?

Can we see a polished wheel scenario please? :borg:

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday :D

wot r ur opinions on black chrome, or dark grey???
nice pics greg thanks for that.. think silver is a bit too bright for a white car… not sure though

i thought the gold was very old skool! :D  bought em off a guy who had them on a blue mk2 g60, spose they suited that better.

wheels in my sig pic are long gone, they were old skool oz deep dish rims… used to be diamond cut, then i polished them, took me 7 hours each… polishing was too much as i used to run them all winter everyday!

well im planning a wheel restoration business, so i spose once set up i can change between black, gold, silver for each day of the week… lol    its still at the business planning stage at the moment though…. but im sure we can organise a club discount

I'm getting the centres of my RM's painted soon and I am not sure whenther gloss black or dark chrome either - both look great but black gives a better stark contrast I reckon. Either would look great on your white car.

Good luck with the business and let me know if it goes ahead as its good to know a decent wheel refurb specialist.  8)

Cheers
Mark

Hat off to you G60RGE!! They look the business. It's one smart conversion you've done, clean engine bay.

You often see on ebay MK1's for sale with different engines but it looks like they've just been thrown in - yours looks well tidy. Nice! 8)  (No, I'm not at all jealous! )

lol thanks mate, always looking for ways of making the engine bay neater!

kins! that sounds like its gonna be a quick car! that was my initial plan with my car, had a grant motorsport stage three head wiv big valves, kent gs2 cam.was on the hunt for the buble block when i changed my mind and went 16v, that was gonna push 170bhp i reckoned.. had the biggest valves possible, tsr didnt even make them bigger.. but the head needed skimming and blasting and blew over budget coz i didnt add bits in like the vernier pully, dizzy adaptor etc etc

good luck with that should be rapid! i really wonder wot that engne would have been like.. would have deff been faster than my 16v at the moment in standard form…

Cheers G60rge we will have to do a Run what ya brung and test them out!

Ive only gone for a pack a head. Would have loved big valves but I'm running on a tight budget as it is. I'm going to be living on beans and packet noodles next month  . But I'll have a big smile on my face once shes finished. :D
