I used the old Fashioned Ford Starter Relay.

Not that expensive, and you can mount it after the Battery, One lead from the Battery to Big Post, one lead fro, Big post to starter solenoid, and the itty-bitty lead from your starter solenoid  Used to "pick the relay" as the relay is grounded via the mounting bracket.


What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Looks like that will do the job, it won't fit in my nice relay/fuse box though!

No that is why I mounted it on the inner fender, as it shortens the run of wire to the starter…. IIRC it is good for about 100Amps… And the Dual Post is a good thing as from under the Bonnet, with the Car in Neutral, Barking or E-brake fully on Key in ignition and in the run position, shorting the two big posts on the relay spins the starter and starts the car….. :) .
