The money pit build 2! Full ground up build.

I'm just sat here looking at the shell thinking what I want the final car to look like and I'm not sure what to think to the amount of work this shell needs but the fuel cap area in mint and never been repaired!

Not sure if to be happy or not 😂 

Well it's back on the road again!!

It's gone for the jig testing to ensure it's 100% straight after the new chassis legs and front section are fitted. Wings and bonnet to be fitted and lined up.

Once that's done we will see how much motivation my mate has left to carry on with the other parts.

Full back section
Both rear 1/4 sections 
The steering column mount to make rhd
A million holes on bulkhead I'll not need inc heater hole.
Old welding repairs to rear tub to be redone (tub nla)

Panels still to arrive

Both front floor full sections
Outer sills 
Boot floor to be decided upon.

On a positive note the roofs good as is the fuel filler.

I asked about which wiper motor doesn't use the bracket as I've taken off he scuttle panel??

No that wasn't me but I'm not sure why you would want a cut with the panel the mounts welded to.

A little Christmas Eve's work.

The chassis legs are prepared for transplanting on, ive got a complete new front panel to attach after the legs are crafted on so that's been left alone.

First job is to get it on the jig and straighten the original shock towers.

Translate the front as per the photos then take off the old front panel and fit the new one.



All the jig work and welding work is been done by an insurance approved body shop and to manufacture methods.

I would have loved to say it's been 100% me build but this is so important to the safety of the car.I feel  it has to be done right and my mate is an expert at repairing accident repairs.

I'm liking yellow today 😂

I'm struggling to find this panel, any suggestions?

I could get away with just the boot floor, if not I'll have get one fabricated from scratch as I can't do this much work and leave that boot floor 😳

Fair play for taking on this, nice to see it on the jig and all being done properly. Will keep an eye on this. I like the olive green colour on some of the previous pics you posted (don't know the name of the colour) lol
