Looks like you have done a great job with your caddy. I finished mine around 5 years ago and it just sits in the garage now. I've Only done 600miles in it in the 10 years i've owned it lol. They are great fun though. There are alot more panels available for them now than there were when I did mine. I had to make the cross members, back panel and bulkhead panel from scratch but you can buy it all now. How long has it taken you to get this far? It took me nearly 4 years to get to the paint stage 😂

Loved every minute of it and actually bought another one. A real gem! Totally original rot free more or less one owner 54k and full detailed history and its just marvellous. Paint peeled and faded nut like new inside and will look brand new after a respray! Have you any pics of yours

I spent the best part of 6months making the bed mint 😂. Its got an aaz lump in it. I managed to buy a donor passat really cheap. What lump are you putting in yours?

andyscaddy … well i was going to put the standard 1.6 diesel back in but now that ive got another Caddy mk1 1.6 petrol one owner 54k i’ll keep that standard and look for something a bit different and pokey for the green machine … any suggestions mate? Want something that sounds meaty! I also have a mk3 Caddy with a 3.6 V6 and dsg box in from a passat R36! Super smooth and quick at about 320 bhp instagram on that is @caddyr36

My intention was always to put a 1.8 20v turbo in mine but I never got round to doing it. Its a great conversion though and fairly straightforward to do too. I should get on and do it now really before the donor cars start getting hard to find.
The other caddy you've got sounds like a good find, any photos of it?

Yes Andy mate! Great find … its mint inside with every single thing working, amazing! Just needs a respray and it drives and starts, pulls like new!
