Received it today but unfortunately there seems to be missing a idle screw on the body?
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Can i make an idle screw location myself on the Audi throttle body?
Other than that it seems an ok part and should be ok to swap.
Or… Have I been to enthusiast an bought the wrong part…
Thx!

I've not got one in front of me, but I'm pretty sure there should be an idle screw on their somewhere - if there isn't then it could be the wrong part.
I'll take a look at mine when I get home…

Hi paceman, no there is no throttle hole at al… I assume that the car where it came from was regulated on another way… ?paceman said
When you say it's missing an idle screw, do you mean there is a screw missing from the hole, or no hole at all?

Audi throttle body upgrade but no idle screw ..
I have only one TB and it is on the (driving) car so makes it rather difficult to measure it up

Hi Paul, thx for the better pictures! Unfortunately this shows to me what I already was frightened of. Where you have an idle screw, is also where i have one on my original tb, but not on the new one…nicci21paul said

I think you would struggle to make your own idle screw inlet as it is tapered to fit the screw.
If it was off ebay, I'd double check the listing - you might be able to get a refund. Sorry I don't have better news!

I'm a fraid you're right… Bought it off a local second hand website from a Dutch guy… Will contact him, hope he's willing to take it back. Pity of the shipping cost…paceman said
Having just dug mine out of the box it's been living in for god knows how long, it's the same as nicci21paul has pictured. I don't know what Audi your is off, but it's not the right one.

it looks like the hole for the idle screw is in the audi body by the smaller butterfly and looks like it points to the large vac pipe connector so might be drilled for the screw if you remove the pipe fitting
Had been thinking that too, so tried yesterday to carefully pry it out, but no success.
I've contacted the seller to check whether he wants to take it back (but no high hopes here).
If he doesn't, I'll take the heavier tools to remove it, keep you posted!

Audi throttle body upgrade but no idle screw ..
So the previous owner answered me that he used the valve adjustment screw to adjust the idle of the engine.
While I have always learned that this is not the right way to control the idle rpm with. I cannot seem to know why exactly…
Can anybody tell me why it isn't a good idea to do so?
Or is there no harm and should i just go with it?
Thanks!

Won;t do any harm mind, but you may struggle to get any fine idle adjustment.
Then again, I may be completely wrong, but someone at somepoint thought that a dedicated means of adjusting idle was a good idea…
I'd still be tempted to cut that pipe off to see what's in there.
