Very nice!
140ish bhp then! and 120mph!!!!!
Nice.
Loud was it?Ian
Sounded great! 142bhp with that setup.
I've made some steps forward since then, luckily the motor is still surviving.
At the moment I have new Weber 45 (152G "5 hole") installed. I should have the jetting finalized this week. There's definitely more power under the curve, maybe not peak but who knows. The timing has been tweaked a little more as well. If the weather holds I should get a test drive in tomorrow and see where I'm at. I may try to get back to the same dyno in the next couple of weeks. I'm still really happy about this little motor, so much that I may build the new one as a 1.4 instead of the planned 1.6…

Nice seats! How did you go mounting them into a Mk1?
Did you use the existing bases or did you have to modify the standard bases?
Keep at it… we're watching closely

The seats are on aftermarket bases. It's a combination of König and Recaro bits.
Here's the latest video link, short outing today, getting ready for the next dyno runs next week.

I need to weld a patch in the left side rocker panel and get the front end aligned before I can get back on the road. Hopefully this will be done in the next month and then it's back to the dyno to try it again…
The only other issue is the brake master cylinder is a bit to small for the new Girling 54 front calipers, I'm running a new 20 mm and it's just not enough. I've found a 22 mm from an older Audi that should got in with the 9 inch booster off a Scirocco without changing the hard brake line routing. I just have to wire up a brake light switch on the pedal since the Audi master cylinder doesn't have extra ports for the pressure sensors.

I'm really happy how the metal work turned out, almost rust free, just some minor holes in the rear window frames to take care of.
