Well guys and girls … This was my second year and enjoyed it just as much if not more ! Great people , great cars , Dogs 😜 and a laugh ,what more could you ask for ?
  Keep up the good work guys , I know from organising big events myself how much hard work goes into pulling this together so a big thank you from me and my family.

I didn't see this thread or I would have posted some updates, it's actually the longest I've been off the forum for about 6months!

I will be writing a full update for magazines in the next week or so, I'll let you have a sneak preview, some highlights in the form of words for now..

Got there Friday, running around all day, helping people where I could, got very badly sunburnt legs with socks on, so I've been wearing "socks" all weekend, without wearing socks if you know what I mean! Walter with the yellow Peirburg and Lorraine came mid afternoon and wandered around and had a few drinks with us, which was nice! Great people!

I had a few more drinks, but managed to have a clear enough head in the morning.

Did the AGM and rally brief, had about 80 people turn up to the AGM, Hairyarse took minutes for when you're interested.

Drive out was great this year, 117 cars made it, even with Ben losing his wheel and the offer of a trailer back he decided to carry on! There were 25 left in field though!

Saturday night after around 11pm is somewhat of a blur to me, probably the x amount of cans and the half bottle of rum + Chris (the DJ) buying me a "gangbang", 4 shots of something topped with a shot of baileys finished me off. I may of made a mess in my tent, oops!

Sunday was hard work, especially as I woke up with  splitting headache with the sound of rain battering my tent, after an hour it cleared, I manned up and grabbed a shower (which were really good this year!) and helped with some judging and wandering around selling raffle tickets, which was an amazing excuse to talk to almost everyone!

The level of cars seemed high, but my concentration was on modified cabs, quite busy so didn't see much of anything else, which is a shame.

The show and shine was great, some well deserved cars that won, and Walter won the people choice award, which we all could of guessed really!

I was personally quite sad yesterday, for a couple of reasons really, one is that I had such a good time I didn't want to leave, and two that I was driving the complete opposite direction to Jo B - however after helping markoggy with his misfire, himself, dubgolf2010 buttywagon all waited for me (and helped pack my tent up - gents!) and we had the most amazing drive back (the long way) through the peak district, all the way into the radio 1 rock show! We even stopped for some photos on the way. It was a great end to a fantastic weekend.

I'm very tried today though, so glad I took it off work, gonna spend my time recovering and hopefully sorting through some photos

Sounds like it was a blast again this year and I will try to get over next year even if it's without mine. 

As for me, well I'm back in the hospital today and the operation is planned for tomorrow.
