well its the one thing i looked forward to all year but the dreaded finances just arent available to go this year.

Im gutted, really wanted to go but just cant afford it

Really hope the weather is great for you guys as every year its been great for us (including last years breakdown lol)

I did post it up back in early May (even wrote to Dano).
Looooooong story short.
But we were notified that we have to replace our core Servers and Switches where I work.
That means that Holidays are blocked from mid July until mid August and there's no getting round it.  

It's no small task either. we have over 30 Servers in four locations here in Vienna and if my memory serves me right we are replacing around 10 of them. All Exchange, SQL and Data Servers.
Good game, game. Can't take a joke, shouldn't have joined…. type of thing!

But I've an idea to make sure Chris gets to the AGM!!!!!
My trip was going to cost a bucket load, which of course now I'm saving.  

So why don't we members have a bit of a whip round for Chris?  
I'll stick 25 quid in the pot to get things started.  
It's only 10% of what I owe in beer debts!  

We could send it via PayPal or what ever.
If a few of us just stick in the price of a couple of beers and a burger we've got it covered!

Chris does a hell of a lot for this club, so why not give a little back?
Come on good people.  

Chris and his family deserve to be there, plus my little granddaughter wants to see Dave again so put me down for £20 :-).

Doesn't make sense in me doing it (I can) but but I'd pay a fist full of International Bank Transfer charges.

You know, how many Wives and children etc….    

Where would you normally stay mate and for how many nights?

With a little luck those with the 'Internal Spirit' will get back from the Pubs and Clubs later and show the same spirit as you and the others have done.

guys, really this is too much, thankyou all for the generousity (spelt badly ) but i just wouldnt feel right taking your money.

it really is fantastic what you guys are wanting to do for us and we really do appreciate it, it just feels wrong if that makes any sense?????      to answer the question, it was 1 wife n child, camping for weekend from friday (no point if not going camping) dave da dog is staying at mother in laws this time as was too hot for him last year (sorry for those who wanted him back again to eat the sausages) 

Oh yeh,just realised that it`s you who has dave the dog…shame that you can`t bring him along,would`ve liked to have seen him in the fleshHow about a pic again?
If the guys on here want to help you get to the AGM then there is  nothing for you to feel `not right` about…it`s just about helping people on the forum, after all, it`s a long twelve months till the next one
