Just read your whole thread. Excellent work chap, very good quality! I couldn't believe how thick the paint was on the bonnet

Liking your Dad's Lotus Cortina too

the old chrome bumpers were just starting to show there age so i bought some polished stainless steel ones as i started to swop over the parts i decided the other old parts just werent clean enough so ibought new end caps
the problem was the rubber strip that runs through the middle werer genuine ones i couldn't bring myself to replace them with non genuine ones, after some searching i found a pair of nos genuine ones i was a very happy bunny ! as these have little tags that just go over the end caps a nice little touch

small update when i removed the engine and box i tried the turbo shaft for play and was happy with the way it felt, since then all ports throttle inlet etc have been covered up, i changed the cambelt and decided to inspect the turbo ive found 4 out of the 6 outer blades are bent ! something has been drawn in and damaged them in its life time, ive decided to upgrade to a new k04 i will be sourcing the parts needed so i can run some extra bhp!

the damage
