   I don't get to the strip too often. I take in a buffet once in awhile. I do enjoy Boulder Dam, Mt. Charleston, Red Rock, and Valley of Fire. If you ever get out here, its a nice break to get off the strip. The Grand Canyon and Zion are with in a day trip of Vegas as well.

Yep, Grand Canyon is the one thing we regret not going to see when we were out there getting married.
Maybe for the anniversary!!

Went for a ride to a ghost town today, it is very close to Death Valley. Its about a 100 miles out of the city of Las Vegas.

I went to Vegas and Rhyolite as a part of my honeymoon.  We stayed at Luxor in Vegas.  Then drove up to Beatty.  From Beatty we drove to Yosemite via Death Valley.  

On that drive we stopped at Rhyolite.  I remember chatting to a guy outside the house made of bottles.  From what he was saying, he looks after the area.  Quite an interesting chap who was from Florida originally.  Also myself and the wife posed with the ghost statues for pictures.  Loved it over there and I am hoping to win the lottery one day so we can return.
