iI hope this is enough to satisfy everyone for the time being, im getting the car back on sunday morning then taking it to an exhaust centre to have the system fitted, then its off to mine on sunday night to start throwing things on :-)
including a brand new retro fit remote car locking system :-D

Today after work I spent 5 hours cleaning down and painting the metal divider between each doors window and fitting the windows and seals, tomorrow from 12 onwards will be a case of build the car as much as possible including engine and gearbox, then Sunday the cars getting the exhaust system made by hand near Belfast! 

Love the colour dude. Bet you can't wait to get her all back together and running again.

looing well dude! wish i had gone for the tdi engine in my golf the power gains are so easy!

cheers chaps, the colour choice was tough but i had to go for it, the paints really popping as the sun makes the metallic flake come out, the pd lump has its benefits but it really is a pig with the 6 speed box fitted, alas ive spent easily more than a 1000 hours on this car, to much time tbh but hopefully the next 19 days goes my way

with the car home safe and sound, i set about reattaching the roof cloth with the help of my neighbour who works for national windscreens, he had the actual glue that was meant to be used in the factory for attaching the cloth lining with out bulldog clips, i was amazed at how it didnt need help in place and it just stuck on after 10 mins! anyways out i go to get more down, ive got a deadline of 19 days to finish this car!

bet you're happy now it's home again mate. Love the paintjob. She's going to be amazing when complete. Good luck getting her back together.

Cheers everyone, alas rather than have a mental break down stressing out meeting deadlines for a car show "/ I've decided to leave edition 38 out this year and get things done at a more relaxed pece, I'm on the home straight but I'd need to test the vehicle for at least a month of easy driving, it'll be a month before the keys ready to turn. I wouldn't want to get the boat over to Scotland then breakdown from not testing the vehicle… 
As for the firewall, it's getting heavy duty heat resistant rubber sheeting, then a heat shield will rest on top behind the turbo including wrapping the steering rack and gear selector cables

This has been a an epic battle trying to sort this gem of mine, alas I'm moving to Australia (sydney) for the year and will have to garage the car for that time, the good side of this is that I can now save a few G's for when I get back to splash at it! I'm disappointed that I've came so far but I've realised it's ok to stop (pause),
The fire wall section is just about finished and the window are getting fitted on the front and rear tonight after Bert was over wet sanding around the window frames! My aim over the next 2 - 3 weeks is to get the engine running and mostly built up before the 15th of October as that's when I leave! 

Well 6 months later and im happily enjoying sydney, the beaches and the weather are breath taking, and being able to relax from the usual UK life style was majorly over due.
I miss the project deeply but I know things will eventually come together when I get back. Still loads of things to do to it but im going to take my time and not stress out over it lol

Sounds like life is chilled now!

And I'm back!! Well I've been back for 6+ months now lol…. Loved my time away and lived the dream.
I've recently started getting back into working on my project again… Anyhow I've decided to go for air ride aswell! The accuair e-level 4 way twin compressor digital system is the model I've bought! My laptops currently up a creak without a paddle so I don't think I get photos uploaded as of yet!
