What is it with people these days!

I know the price of some of these so called "Rare" parts can sometimes be a little high, though this is rediculous.

One of these sold on eBay before Christmas for £256…

YOU ARE KIDDING. Ive got one you have then for £250…… any offers?

Disappointed with bank interest rates, I purchased 3 of them a couple of years back at around £45 each…..

Mine isn't even on my car at the moment. I find it too big and keep catching my hands on my knees when driving with it!
It is hanging in the garage with mold growing on it!

I think I'd rather the 250 nicker - any takers…  :dontknow:

Good stuff DubPartz   Did the buyer come good and pay up? When auctions go mad I always wonder if the winner coughs up.

He did indeed     He'd previously bought one off ebay where the boss was not original and wasn't the most secure, plus the hornpush was goosed ( a very common fault ) so he wanted to be sure that he got a good one this time. I have to admit I was surprised how high this auction went but a lot of the cheaper ones have issues with:

Damaged hornpush plugs
Missing springs
Damaged wiring
Pitting on the metal
Damaged grips
Missing or damaged boss covers
Missing badges
Damaged hornrings (indicator cancel)

Some buyers (if the seller is honest about the damage !) will accept some of the above if it means a cheaper wheel but on this occasion I guess the bidders wanted one without any of these problems.
