Been thinking about routes this morning… It's fairly obvious, but samples some of N.Wales's finest  :wink:

Just an idea of where we plan to stop and turn around would be good, my friends wants to meet me there!

Remember when I abandoned the site for 2 weeks last year, well i met some girls from wales then and they liked golfs, especially mine.. but i was in a big motorhome, so it's an excuse for me to show it off..  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:

I haven't got a route sorted as such, I know we'll be meeting at Ponderosa cafe on the Horseshoe Pass, then hopefully hit Lake Vyrwyn then onwards through Snowdonia towards coast.  Any good suggestions/recommendations always appreciated (I know GtiMad is fantastic at knowing some proper class back roads) On the Black Rock Sands roadtrip we had a conflab at Bala Lake and went with the flow, this will be much the same way of planning this one  :mrgreen:

I'm happy enough with the  one I pulled from the last trip.

What about a trip over to Llanberis via Betws y coed?
and maybe caernarfon castle for pics after.

Could even go to this car park for some pics if its not too busy.
This car was sold to make way for the mk1  

Okaly dokaly; This is the route I would take:

This maybe a fairly obvious route, but; From Vyrnwy head north east on the B4396 to Pen-y-bont-fawr, then west to Llangynog over the (pencraig?) pass (one of the best in wales!!!!!) to Bala, then take the A4212 around the resevoir, then take a right up the B4391 to Ffestiniog and then it's pretty much boring A roads to porthmadog…

A good route that takes in a mix of roads. The Pencraig pass is a must

But i get scared driving on that road, especially on that bend near the top where the road narrows. :roll:

I'm turkeying for this - haven't been to a meet for 2 weeks and won't be going to anything between now and the 26th!

Last time i got this hyper was probably about Christmas 1975 when I got a Grifter!

I had to ask her very nicely if I could put a photo on here but she said yeah, didn't think that would happen!

Oh and she's a fashion / art student so that was some photography shoot she had to do, and she TOLD me I had to use one of those photos..

and lives in Caernarfon, i'm getting the info in this order.. lol

richair, thats exactly the same route we went last time from bala to black rock sands, apart from taking the B4410 over to tremadog.

Am I right in guessing caernarfon castle might be a popular choice with certain people on here???
