Removing center console?

Is there a way to remove this on a clipper without removing the knee bar? Mines mounted behind it and no about of jiggery pokery will get it out it seems.

I really want it out to remove the carpets.

I have to undo the bar at the back by pushing the little pin out the clip then pull up on the front and the back sides spead either side of the tunnel an pull out if you follow it's still a faff thou 

I tried to put the centre console in without taking the knee bar out and wrecked the cover. So after finding a new cover off e-bay. I left the knee lose so you can push the knee bar up slightly and get the centre console in. And then tightened the knee bar up. But to be safe take the knee bar out its only 6 13mm nuts at the end of the knee bar but is quite heavy so a spare pair of hands would help.
