X plate campaign edition Golf?
Another day at the garage today, had a bit of spare time so set about on the golf. This was the bonnet before
After a very quick clean it came out like this
As you can see the leading edge of the bonnet and the area under the vents are pretty badly scabbed, but in all honesty it looks pretty solid for 32 year old paint! Some minor scabs under the side decal
Bum to bum with one of her descendants
Started to clear out the interior too, needs a damn good clean!
P-slots have now found a new home too
Started cleaning up the brightwork on the 3.0CS but ended up leaving it all for another day
Oh, rebuilt the twin strombergs on the Stag the other day too, idles nice and low, sounds good too

Cheers bud, you're more than welcome to come and "test it" haha.
Just wanted to add that I'm not really too keen on giving her a full respray as i want to keep as much of the original paint as possible.
Might just re-spray the worst bits (bonnet, front wing, rear light panel and the larger rust scabs), as i know that if I get the paintwork and body 100% perfect I won't want to drive it!
Need to lower it a touch too. Got some coilovers waiting for fitting with some new bushes.
Lower profile wheels already lower it about 60mm or so, going to try -40mm on the coilies and see how that comes out.
Speaking of lower profile wheels, coupled with the 1.6gti gearbox it should get off the line like a little rocket haha

Started cleaning up the Scala's to use as winter alloys, not going to spend too much time on them, just a bit of sanding then getting painted in silver for now

GF went to get something from the garage today, when she came out i got a nice slap across my face for buying wheels, apparently i'm on a wheel embargo

Didn't have the heart (or balls) to pull the tarp off the other 20 off wheels in the garage
Not too sure whether to fit the mim deep dish'ed on the mk1, or the ATS cups instead!
