Shortstuff………I heard something about uprated lighting looms, or lack of!!

I used to go to a few south west meets with Daisy and mark83, when the meet was at the Taunton beefeater?

Used to really enjoy that, remember meeting some nice people thereAlso remember driving to a xmas meet there, (hours drive for me), carb icing etc, and there being just 3 of us!

My friend brought Daisy's/Darren's white mk1, but it wasn't running very well by then, and he had it taken to a Bosch specialist with the original Bosch diagnostics machine, and got it all sorted. Pretty sure it had a cam as it went like stink! He had it for a far few years sorting bits out and then sold it. (not sure who to or where?)

I'm sure daisy/darren still has the cab, but haven't seen him for a few years now

I still see mark83 on the regular, and we are both still developing our mk1's.

Bring back the south west meet of old!!

He moved to the states - I assume he's still out there? I think he posted up when he got out there with a pic of an old Camaro or similar that he'd purchased.

kins was a bit to  friendly , floppy top owners are like garden weeds, you have to keep on top of them or they will take over

He was one of the original members and must have been responsible for one of the bravest, most epic resto's of a MK1 ever!
