Threw one out last night as the plastic bracket that attaches to front panel was all cracked & broken…

There are some hoses that will fit from VW heritage. I bought part no 067 133 853E to replace my intake pipe which was held together with duck tape. It cost £5.80. The diameter at the ends is the same as the GTI one and fits perfectly to the the front intake and the airbox.  The pipe is slightly longer so is more compressed when fitted but I don't think this will affect air flow. There is also another hose available 067 133 853B at similar cost which I think may be the same or very similar to a GTI one but I can't be sure of this. I might get one to check.
