What did you do to your Mk1 Golf Today ?

This was actually yesterday… but gave the car its first wash of 2017. Desperately needed! 

Pushed it onto a trailer and pushed it off again... went all out and put it under a cover till i can cut it weld it and generally love it...

Sanded my drivers door to bare metal then started on the bonnet

Put a load of gear on eBay! Ordered spacers for the new alloys as they sit on the calipers and the the nuts at the rear hit the brake shoes!  

 

Changed the oil and filter on the  G60,  also fitted a new oil feed pipe to the charger,  fitted new headlights  . And gave the front grill a good  clean. ..

Booked sportline in for Mot..found drivers window to be loose creating a gap for rain to enter🚣 tried starting him without charging battery failed…connected with jumpers and alive he was..until disconnect leads..so battery on charge…someone as decided to remove my number plates… that's nice… not

Littlehairyarse how's things….and what's other plans? I've got nice twin light chromed grill i may try clean it but its ratty looking as it stands…will look great on dark/black car…

Today had a visit with sake of snowy in mind.  Hes not the best..and i think he knew his dayson are numbered both him and caster conspired to prevent sale..first by wetting themselves.And then refusing to start despite battery changes..easy start pushing.  Caster still not starting.. though 3hrs battery charge and snowy turned over.
Still hard to even sell when I've not got him anywhere near what I would like. Hes running and solid just needs roof and makeup

All good thanks, yourself? Well, to start with get rid of all the rust, then rattle can over it to stop more ahaha, get it running going to have to change the wheels, thinking ronal turbos and then make it motable then drive it whilst i buy all the shiney bits ahah. I'm going to put it on throttle bodies and want to get rid of the afternarket sunroof so might go for a carbon one, do some bits to the interior then save up for a pukka respray. 
Chromed grill sounds good to me 😀

Thanks, perks of 4 on 4 off, get a lot of time to crack on with it older brother, you're far to kind to him ahaha. I  am indeeed! It will more than likely be a payday job as currently on the skinter side of things ahah. Hmmm sadly i dont think he will
