Going to look at regcheesemans AAZ driver he restored a couple years ago tomorrow as its on my door step. If everything is sound then I might have a new car!! 

Would change a few things though, fit my refurbed bbs rz's with new coilovers. colour code red instead of green. new phase 1 bumpers and 20v /g60 engine oh and g60 brakes all round.

That's cool - 4 doors are great if you have kids I like the sleeper look too - surprises lots of people

Managed to persuade the wife about a mk1 project  

I'm now after a decent rolling shell, non runner isn't a problem as long as it's not in Scotland lol.

Has to be a tintop, will consider any colour, must have big block mounts and 3 doors.

Don't dismiss it mate. Some people just don't have the brains they were born with and are complete novices when it comes to making a for sale ad.

Yes thats true but seems like a lot of money. now i have the opportunity to restore my own i can get a good shell and do it the way I want

i have a mk1 gti which i may be looking to sell soon, it has a 16v engine and some parts for a 16v turbo conversion too, id be looking for around £5000 for it however but let me know if you would be interested

I cant put pics here but this is his AD.

A mk 1 golf gti which has been fully restored and painted in Toyota Balearic blue has full gti spec trim arch spats deep front spoiler single red stripe grille and has original chrome small bumpers which have replaced the standard black plastic items and also has a genuine VW towbar fitted which has never been used by me the front quarter light windows have been replaced with rare opening ones with new genuine seals

Inside has been fitted with a brand new black carpet and a grey headlining from Newton commercial and has genuine VW rubber floor mats
The front seats have had the headrests removed and fitted with new old stock seat covers and the rear seat the material has been turned over to look as new the front door cards have Audi tt interior handles in place of the standard plastic ones and has original door speaker pockets
The dash is finished in black and the dash insert is fitted with 3 vdo gauges and covered in carbon vinyl and has an Elliot rev counter fitted where the heater vent used to be and has the original Wolfsburg steering wheel and has a non gti centre consol

The car has been fully poly bushed and has ago coil overs fitted and adjustable strut braces upper and lower front and upper rear
Has had 280 mm conversion discs on the front and the rear has been converted to disc brakes and has a non servo master cylinder and rolls on rare oz route multispoke alloy wheels which are polished with black highlights and are fitted with 195 45 15" toyo tyres which have at least 6 mm of tread

The original gti engine has been replaced with a 1.8 g60 engine which was fully rebuilt and has a stage 4 charger and has a custom aluminium intercooler with custom pipe work has a 4 branch manifold
The gearbox is a 16v box with a quaife limited slip diff and tsr metal linkage and has a black diamond clutch

Price £4500 Ono
