Yes I do have the big air filter , I bought a brand new gold wagon carb about 3 years ago and I haven't serviced the carb since then so I'm sure I need to a carb kit and rebuild the carb

My manifold and intake is in the back, I did change the base plate about 2 months so that could also be a possible issue?

Carb I wouldn't have thought would need servicing already, but the flange could still have failed if it was a cheap part I've seen many fail prematurely. Especially as I say if the front steady bracket is missing (assuming the SA model uses a similar air box.to euro)

Yes possibly cause I asked for the most expensive one and they only had R280. I can't remember the brand. I do have a front steady bracket and I have a secondary long screw going into the carb corner circle hole and I stud with a wing nut in the centre of the carb holding the air box..
