Managed to free all the brakes .
Inspected the suspension mounts front and back ,and there pretty clean as is the floor and the tyre well .
No surprises so far .
Managed to turn the engine by hand also .
Im happy with what i achieved so far today .

Sorry mate they will be up first thing tomorrow as im pooped .
Woke up this morning at 7.00am started to clean her whilst she was still on the truck from last night .Didnt want anyone local to see the state she was in .
Finished at 7.30pm after managing to rotate the engine by hand .
Charging a battery up for a exciting and hopefully fruitful day tomorrow .
She looks a lot cleaner and is know sitting on some borrowed 14 inch BBS alloys .
Promise picks will be up in the morning .
Good night guys .

I wonder why  .
Im think im gonna keep it as a car .
A bit later i will convert it to a 1.9 TDI ,if the 1.6 doesnt do it for me .
I was toying with the idea of converting it back to a van ,but i wouldnt enjoy it as much and thats what its all about .
Its a great find ,seems to be solid in all the usual suspect places that ive looked at ,nothing that has given me any causes for concern at the moment .
Everything is boading well at the moment ,but i can see the road ahead is gonna be very long .
The only concern i have at the mo is that i need to find the door seals that sit against the glass at the bottom of the front doors ,mines perished and cracked .

So after a hearty breakfast i decided to remove some paint doodles bt the previous owners kids on the tail gate by using some wet and dry with soap .
Mixed results as i went through to original paint in a couple of spots .
I also noticed that the paint also looked a little fresher in the places where i had been rubbing .
So in for a penny in for a pound ,i did the whole car in the pouring rain .
The results are below ,they look better coz its still raining .
Will polish it if it looks poo in the dry .
And a shot of the engine .
Will have more shots when its dry .

Removed the starter and whilst dissassembling the starter managed to cook the solenoid where the connections are .
We cleaned up the starter internals and put that back together (seems ok apart from surface rust ).
Seems like i have to locate a replacement solenoid / starter .
On a more positive note all the remaining electrics seem to work ok.
