I just love seeing a MK1 on the road.


Also who is the 4dr (gold/bronze)I often see coming down towards Bradford BRI weekdays about 14.10ish?

And was it you in a 4door blue, mk1 in Ilkley west yorks on sat about 3ish

and a cab in white in Guisley sunday about 2.30 (driver with a bandanner on his head, sould i have not mentioned this bit :wink: )

i sold my old mk1 gti to someone from yorkshire last August. it was a Y reg creamy white mk1 with s1 rear panel. keep your eye out for it. i'd love to know if it was spotted

full number plate was EBE ___Y

I think I know the gold/ bronze one. Looks pretty much mint from what I can recall. It lives near Odsal, Bradford  8)

  I saw that one today too - chances of that. I live about 70 miles from Saltburn and its the first time I've been  there 8O . W reg parked at the top of the cliff lift - must be the same one?

Nice pics (and sketches too) - the pier looks great at night, I'll have to go back someday   Looks like a nice place, town centre looked spookily quiet, but I guess its off season.
   Speaking of night photography - I took a few shots after dark at the funfair in Leeds on Friday on slo mo - got some cool results .
   Saltburn - I went with the missus and bairn just for the day out. We passed through Saltburn on our way to Staithes - another good place for piccies   Also took some shots today by the docks at Middlesbrough - stumbled on a backstreet scrappy with a few old classics inc a 67 Rover 2000TC, mk1 Mazda RX7 and a BMW 635 + others in the background  8) No mk1 Golfs though, unfortunately

Red one at Birstall? That would have been mine I guess. It's on ebay now item number 320247924088 (if someone could put a link into the cars for sale section I'd much appreciate it). It must have been one of it's last outings with me.
