Howdy folks I took this servo from a t.d golf thinking I could use it on my cabby but it doesn’t look like it will work it has the ball type fitting instead of the Clevis pin set up . Is it scrap so?

You can chop that off and have the rod threaded.

I fitted a MK3 to my MK1. As Roach has said, you need to cut the rod, and cut a thread (I'll check what size when I get home). You'll need to carefully measure the old one once you have removed the clevis pin bracket thingy.
Not that difficult really hardest part is holding the rod whilst you cut the thread.

Thread is M10x1.5. If you are doing it yourself you will need to get a decent thread cutting die, not a thread cleaning die.

You need to measure the length of the rod on your current servo (with the clevis thing removed) from the mounting face of the servo.
Mark the same length on the mk3 servo - from memory, this is just a bit higher of where the taper starts - which does make it easier to get the thread cutting started.
Then cut the thread to about the same length as the existing servo, thread the clevis thingy back on - job done!
This doesn't cover a mk3 servo, but may be useful to look at (if you haven't already).
