Brake compensator mk1 or mk2 / Wilwood

Post

Back to the top
I'm currently restoring a mk1 golf gti and am struggling to decide what route to take for the rear brakes.

The car has got the standard brake system of discs and rear drums.
I will have the residual valves plumbed in to keep pressure for the rear drums
Car is lowered

Options are;

1)  Get the original mk1 compensator restored and fit which is approx £200 and plumb in as standard.
2)  Get a mk2 compensator and make suitable bracket and fit which is approx £60
3)  Fit a Wilwood bias valve which will allow me to alter settings in the engine bay £100

The car is lowered slightly so i'm leaning towards fitting the wilwood valve for ease of adjusting settings, any thoughts appreciated

THanks
