swapping k_jetronic for a 28/36 DCD Weber

is it easy to do a fuel swap

I'm hacked off with the complexity of the  Golf K-jetronic setup on my 1.8 Mk1 golf GTI.
I also have an RS2000 with a 28/36DCD weber on. The power output of the two engines is similar and I wonder if I can easily swap this K-jetronic setup for a downdraught weber similar to the Escort's  setup. Has anyone done it with good results?

It has been done many times. You would need to block off the injector ports in the head, provide a lower pressure pump, or at least regulate it to the much lower pressure required.
I personally would fix kjet, it is a simple pressure differential system that works really well. Carb will mean poor mpg.
