So do e a bit or research and everyone said buy stainless from
Classic-vw.
So i did , and have to say am impressed , came really well packaged & with a load of fixing options.
Once the old system was off it was obvious it had been blocked with rust for a long time as it sounded like maracas.
Offering up the new pipe i could see none of the hangers were in the correct locations- i had been warned this is common.
So starting at the front cut up the supplied mount & rewelded .
At the rear box 2 needed shortening & the furthest rear needed raising alot.
Now ive no idea what rubbers were supposed to be there as mine were all random/missing so just ordered some universal from local motor factors.
Now the exhaust is physically a much larger diameter pipe but it clears the gear selector now & rear axle .
Sounds alot better & now the engine actually revs!
Only downside is ive now seen the fuel system. & omg its in a right state 🤦🏻♂️.
