Rubber fuel hoses

Post

Does anyone have any recommendations for rubber fuel hose for a Clipper carb engine? (The ones in the engine bay from the solid fuel lines to the engine)

I replaced mine about 18 months ago with some Topran 73379 and after smelling petrol in the car I've found they're starting to perish already!

Any advice will be much appreciated as usual! ;)

I don't know how high the ethanol content is in the fuel in your region, but try an ethanol safe fuel line. Possibly nylon or steel braided with some aircraft an fittings. I've slowly started replacing my lines as the 10% ethanol content in my area has just been eating them from the inside.

As above, the ethanol content can be a real problem

Excellent, thanks chaps!

Thats exactly what I was thinking, it must be something to do with the additives in fuel now. Some reading in to it (Fuel Hose Selection, Pipe Grading (Why R9), Connections &amp Clipping) and it sounds like R9 fuel hose is the way to go?
