K jet Starting issue

Post

Car will start and run if I hold air flapopen open

Car will only start if I physically hold the metering by head flap open. Otherwise no fuel to injectors.
I have refurbed metering head, new pump, fuel lines, etc.
Any idea What to check next. I saw a previous discussion on this but cannot find it.

These pressure tests refer to a running engine. How can you message fuel pressure when car wont start?

You can test without the engine running. If you put ( jet pressure into YouTube there is a video of someone doing it. Airbox is off the car and he's got it hooked up to fuel pump. Not saying that it might not need checking once it is running, but it should give you a baseline to work off. There was a long thread started by Pistol about 18 months ago. Loads of good stuff in there.

My rebuild thread I will try and keep up to date: here

Got my can running! Only took a year. Running ruff.
Control pressure seems too high at 3 bar. System pressure ok just over 5 bar. Will run but revs very high. Drops when u press the throttle. I guess mix is way out.
Can you  adjust the control pressure?
