Screen washer pump

OK!,

Put in a new screen wash pump.

Tester shows theres power coming to the connector, but doesnt operate the pump…

Any ideas??

what does the meter say between the pins ie: Brown and the other color when you pull the washer, and does the wiper motor sweep?  

My tester is just a simple light on light off tester.

Wipers sweep

Wipers sweep but no sprayer, well I have a thread in the archive section on that follow the link on the signature.

Then place one of the probes on the Positive side of the plug (colored wire) and the other in the Brown pin ground…..careful not to short out on frame…. If the light lights when you pull the stalk, then bad pump….
You can also take 2 jumper wires from the battery to the plug, if the motor spins then you probably need to adjust the stalk.

Get a DVOM you will find it is your friend.

And be sure that your bend things a little at a time.
