Outside temp

I'm not getting any outside temperature display, initially I thought was a dodgy sensor so got a genuine NOS one but still no dice.

Next port of call was the wiring and it didn't take long to find this



Which I'm thinking might just be the cause.  It's "broken" just where it goes into the lower valance but I can't find where the blooming wire is running inside engine bay.  Is only way to get to it by removing the bumper? 

Also where does the holder for the temp sensor sit?  My sensor was just tucked up behind bumper

They should be fixed to the inside of the bumper as it reads outside temperature.

Is yours fixed to anything?

No it's not fixed to anything, not sure if the bracket is even there but I know I can still get one but i guess that answers my question I need to take  the bumper off!! Cheers mate
