Yes that battery will fit and is the bigger one of the two you can use.

Mine did come with a plastic spacer to help it fit under the clamp, if you don't get the spacer a bit of rubber or even cardboard will help hold it still.

I wrote this a few years back on another forum, but it's still applicable…

Everybodys circumstances are different… for all I know you may live half way up a mountain where there's a metre of snow every winter and you'll benefit from a beefed up CCA spec., alternately if you only use your car for a few months in the summer and it's garaged I'd suggest the 640 of the one you've pictured is unnecessary.

It'll work just fine, but you'll potentially just be paying more for something you don't need.

Bosch seems to be a go to brand for some,  but be aware Varta batteries are (usually) cheaper, made in the same factory and with like for like specs.

Read any warranty fine print if it's that which'll decide for you what make to buy, they're not all equal.

"The three basic things you're looking for and that every battery will have marked on it are -

1. Amp hours (Ah)

2. Cold Cranking Amps (CCA).

Not going to try and go over the above other than to say that in very simple terms Ah indicates the batteries out put and CCA is it's ability to turn over a cold engine… a quick Google and you'll find plenty of short, easy to understand explanations, but as rule of thumb the higher the number the greater the power / cranking ability.

More isn't necessarily better and as batteries aren't cheap it pays to match one with your needs rather than pay for extra performance you don't require. There'll be an optimum that suits you and going beyond it'll be pointless.

3. Short code or it's UK code equivalent.

This'll give you the batteries physical size in Width, Length and Height so you'll see if it'll actually fit the space or not.

An example of a short code is C11 which is the equivalent of UK code 075 and measures W. 175mm / L. 242mm / H. 175mm

Probably plenty of others out there but found the Varta site nails it with their search (by car type or battery code) / vehicle compatibility feature -

I'm running a base Yuasa 075 (the black one). As the post above says, I don't need anything higher output. And Silver would have not been matchy matchy in my engine bay….

My rebuild thread I will try and keep up to date: here
