Paddling ... not driving!

My driver's side foot well is becoming a splashpool!

Now I've checked the previous threads and I think I've gone throught the usual suspects:

- I've checked the drainage holes at either end of the scuttle and they're clear.
- I've put sealant between the screen and glass (original rubber and glass)
- The plastic sheet is on the driver's side door and sealed.
- It's a non-sunroof model!

I've put paper under the pedals and it seems to be dripping in from directly above - it's not running down the bulkhead behind the pedals.

The only things I can think of is:

- I haven't sealed the screen sufficiently well? (but it's coming in as badly as it's ever done, so it should have had some effect!?)
- The water is draining well down through the scuttle hole and onto the back of the bulkhead - is there a hole/grommet where it could be coming in?

Help! I've wasted a bit of time searching for the leak and I'm not getting enough dry weather to get the car dried out and then test/. It just floods!

 

Take a  look  in the  windage tray  , they rot  under the  sound  deadening.   Also check  any  grommets  in the  bulkhead. 

If you are ready for a shock..buy smoke pellets from  eBay or amazon put in a nice old cup and set down in the foot well hopefully the smoke will show leaks. You get approx 2 mins of smoke so should be enough. Other than that get cheap car cover 20 quid and cover every time not in use. I'm doing same and have dehumidifier from my latest leak.mine leaks on join in roof seal between floppy top and door.
