where is the water temp sensor

hi everyone i have recently swapped my mk1 1.3 engine for another and cannot find where the water temp sensor is it ment to be on the thermostat housing as all that is there is a nipple like blank ? im guessing the two on the rear of the head are oil pressure sensors high and low?

The water temp sender is on the thermostat housing like you've said Assuming the sender hasn't been replaced by a nipple like blank then that will be it! It should have a little 'disc' type thing on the end of it which you slide the spade connector over.




The temp sender wire is a red and yellow one
