steering column

hi guys, i had the great fortune of some idiot trying to steal my mk1 golf driver last week.  in the process they broke the steering column/steering lock, does anybody know what parts i need to replace to make this like new again? any help would be great, thanks

You'll need a steering lock assembly and in the worst case a steering column inner.  You may need the plastic shrouds also.

I have all these parts and can change your ignition barrel over if OK to the new one so you don't need to mess with keys.

that sounds great mate! would you be able to retain the same ignition key? or is this not important? i live in south east london and could get t oxfordshire, how much would you want for the parts/labour?
