Replacement for caburator

Hello,

I currently have a 1983 golf mk1 1.5 cl (69hp).
It has Now a pierberg carburator on it, but I like to get
some more power from The engine and I hate The fact The way it starts When The engine is hot.
I Am thinking of doing a double weber(or single), but what settup do you guys recomend?
