Weller wheel fitment

Lo all,

My bro is looking at getting some weller steels and i'm just checking on the options.

Ideally he'd like a 8"x13 front and a 9x13 rear, but it seems that you can only get an et -10 8" and an et -23 9"

I'm not too sure if these are suitable as I dont fully understand about offsets.

If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated! :)

He wants a nice stretch on the tyres and the arches filled nicely, the car will be sat on coilovers soon

A very useful reference, thanks

I think I've got it, so assuming the standard rims were +38 and new ones were -23, the rim would "stick out" 15mm more than the standard wheel?

Or that could be really wrong?

Thats almost right, the centre line of the wheel is 15mm further outwards of the wheel mounting face, then the wheel width is taken into account, in this case 9", so 4.5" would stick outwards of the centre line and 4.5" would sit within the arch, inwards of the centre line.

Hope this helps :D

cool, thanks

As I thought

Has anyone run this setup? I know the 7x13 and 8x13 is a popular fitment, but a 7 wouldnt give the stretch wanted

Just need to be sure before he orders the wheels, and then finds the rears protrude too far! lol
