Norwich meet

I know that the meet for the mk1 club is on Sunday, i would love to come along n make some new friends n of course show my beautiful car n have the pleasure of looking at others' too. However i don't know anyone n am a lil un-nerved at bein outta place bcoz of…just wondered if anyone who is goin would say hi n give me some of the gen???

You are very welcome to come down to the meets and i'm sure people will come and say hello. I run/organise the monthly meet in Norwich  but for the next meet (4th june) we are  all going to stonner park, henley upon thames so I might see you at the one after ??

I'm in the same boat as you staffycat, I'm hoping to make it to the next meet, although the only person I know is Jim from GSF!

meet is on for the 2nd of july 12:00 ish onwards……. I always aim for 12 but lets be honest I'm always late :wink:  so wait around if no ones about to start with

couldn make the 2nd of july went to pick up next possible project another mk1 jetta 82 "c"    base model completely origional 78 tho never been welded! and no rust  ?25  8)  :wink:

hi me and darren aka mr_gti are planning a new venue for the norwich meet so watch this space  :wink:  the norfolk /suffolk forum and club  (club gti ) has folded so we will be sorting a purely mk1 meet    8)
the norwich regulars are meeting tuesday or wednesday night to sort this out if your interested in coming along let me or darren know

Chaps…. would love to be there to help thrash out a future for the vw scene in norfolk/suffolk, however for the next few weds nights I shall be busy and unable to get there.

If you are up for arranging a night and want a show of hands, I say go for the tuesday night… it is easiest for me….

The Mk1 is getting there (slowley) and I want to be in on the scene.

looks like the meet is going ahead for the second wednesday of the month at the mill house at 8pm more details to follow  :wink:

I love the colour Tim, it looks kinda bronze/red on the pics, is this a fairly true guide to what it looks like in real light?

the colour is an audi one red pearl (why do i pick colours like this to do myself!) if i remember correctly - it looks good as that was about 24hrs after it was painted - its a bit duller now. I'll start a propper thread on it as i don't want to fill this one up with off topic stuff.

I'm sorry i couldn't make the meet, but WOW, i think i just p'd my pants, look at those pics         8O    lol…. been to bug jam today then came home with roof down thought that was perfect end to the day until i came home to find this    big smiles all round  

be good to see ya. we're ruled by tin tops at the moment so would be good to see some cabbies :wink:
