Mk1 OC stand at SVAG Knockhill Mega meet

Scottishvag are having a mega meet at Knockhill on the 13th September 2009 and they have enquired if the Mk1 owners club would like to have a club stand at the event.

Would anyone from the club (members & non-members) be interested in being on the stand or attending the event?  

Don't have any further info at present other than the date & venue, but will post up a link to the svag website once they have a thread announcing the meet.

Unfortunately, I'm probably going to be away on holiday when this takes place, but hopefully a few of you will be interested in attending & maybe representing the club. Would be a good opportunity to promote the MK1 owners club north of the border….

Just booked our holiday earlier today & we're not away til the 15th Sept, so it looks like I'll be able to attend this after all  :cheer:

still trying to get ma car fixed to get to these meets and enjoy ma car so will try and get it there fingers crossed had a guy from sottish vag who has a mk1 16v MICK C   and he thinks definetly the metering head is ma problem

I'm going to this anyway so could maybe put the car on the stand aswell

Scottish VAG are requiring numbers for their Megameet by 30th August so they can allocate space for us.

Hi Guys,

have confirmed to SVAG earlier in the week that we will be having up to 7 cars on the stand (hopefully)   :pray:

Haven't had much info from them recently, hopefully they'll be in touch in the next few days with an update. Last message I received read as follows:

"We are going to be looking for the club stands and traders to be there earlier than the normal punters on the day. So looking at getting you all in from 8.30am on the day and then letting the public in from 9.30am

If that presents a problem to you then let us know ASAP again so we can organise your stand with the minimum of movement on the day"

Not sure how easy that will be (especially for you guys travelling far) but I'll try to be there by 8.30….. 8O

Also,

"SVAG will be judging the "Best Club Display" we will leave it up to you on how you want to win this. The most creative will certainly catch our eyes and obviously the stand who is having the most fun on the day"

Hmmmm, don't think we'll be winning any prizes for the display unless any of you have any good ideas  :wink: .  Was thinking of bringing along a gazebo, some sort of table, a few chairs & maybe a banner…

Anyway, fingers crossed the weather's kind - Looking forward to seeing you all :y:
