Hi All,
I'm new to forum and asking some advice on my search for a nice Mk1 GTI….
I'm looking for a LHD 1.8 car and came across a local car by word of mouth in Kent on Friday. Its a 1983 European import 2 owner car and said to be a "Pirelli edition" in Helios blue, non sunroof model.
Floor looks solid, body is shabby and has rotted on a couple of wings where the arch trim fits. Surprisingly solid under the trim and starts, runs and drives very nicely.
However the seller is fixated with this being a "Pirelli" edition and I don't understand if it commands any premium over and above a campaign model?
Anyone know these well enough to advise please?
Kind Regards…

If I understand it correctly - I'm a cabby man, the 'Pirelli' was the European version of the UK's 'Campaign' model…. Ie a last run vehicle before the Mk2 came out.
Here's another thread with a Pirelli version.
