Yes a few metres out of the garage and then back in again. Happens quite frequently. 😂

She will get a good warning up again when summer actual begins 🤦.

I need to give the interior a good clean this weekend and get her out on the roads and put the new windows to use ;).

Oh forgot I also Improved the mounting bracket for the expansion tank.

Got rid of this:

And replaced it with this:

Also wired up the expansion tank level sender and installed the relevant relay.

Looking great as ever Rich. It's those little bits that make all the difference.

Is there a mk1 3.2 as good as this in the UK! This car needs to sit in the best of the shows and sweep up some trophies! Excellent work[emoji1319][emoji1319][emoji1319][emoji1362]

Hi Grey,

It was laser cut out of stainless and I use the gauge rear bracket to hold it in place but…..

I've just 3d printed a new version I designed which flush mounts the gauges. Currently in Spain but back on Saturday and will share the details. This is a teaser ;). IMG_20240731_135343.jpg

I had to make some manual tweaks to the design to accommodate the slot in the dash. Basically sand the back of the holder at the tops of the recessed dial section.

I will CAD up a new version and supply the STL file so you can get a company to print it for you such as https://3dprintmything.uk which I've used before. Unfortunately the 3D printer I used wasn't mine.

Sweet outcome . In keeping with  the factory textures /finishes from what I see. 👍🏻

Looks good!

What's the headunit you've got in there - looks interesting?

Wow, what a build, just read through the entirety of the thread.

So many nice little touches and the attention to detail, brilliant work!
