Absolute Newb Questions

Hi all ! I have just purchased my first mk1 golf gti !. I'm very excited to get behind the wheel and give it a good drive about when the storms go away but i just have a few questions regarding looking after the car etc! They are as follows:

1. There are some small areas of bubbling on the driver's side a pillar and rear bumper. what is the best way to sort this out as im, not in the market for a full re spray atm? if spot repairs are not ideal what can be done to mitigate this whilst washing etc.
2. Any reliable garage recommendations for the Leicester/Hinckley area.
3. First slight mods ide be looking to do is probably fitting an immobilizer/alarm and maybe central locking, what kits/guides are available for this.

Thanks in advance for any advice or pointers. Working on cars is relatively new to be but i work on gas generator engine sets for a living so its all quite transferable xD. Getting ready for the jump for a 68 plate merc to a 1981 golf haha! sorry if this is the wrong place to ask these questions also.
