Hello,

Not so much a Newbie as I've been floating round here a while. But this is my first post

I have been thinking about jumping in and buying a Mk1 Golf Cabriolet for some time and I'm finally pulling funds together to make that happen.

I think I'd like to find a lovely Blue Rivage, we'll see what my hunt brings.

I started my VW ownership through lockdown when I took ownership of a new Polo GTI which I love.

Anyway hello all :)

Hello

Welcome aboard mate,
There are a few Rivages about but they tend to command more money.
And a lot have been taken away from their original factory form.
So in some cases are only a Rivage in name.
Things like the original spec trim inside the car are often missing.
So again finding the parts to replace can be time consuming and again adds to the purchase price.
I’ll add that very few I’ve seen actual
Have the heated seat set up working too.
If you can get it working it’s a great thing as the summer time closes you can still have toasty buns when it’s cooler.
Cheers

Cheers buddy 😁

At least risk of being shot down for my comments….

Even though I'm after a Rivage I'm not too concerned about it not being 100% original.

I'm just concerned about finding one for the right money that isn't hiding some nasty secrets.

I have found a really useful buyers guide on here already so hopefully with that I'll stand in good stead
