Hi from the midlands

My first post, so hello all

I have owned 3 mk1 GTI's in the past, the last one I did as a full restoration but this was nearly 20 years ago

maybe it's my age,  I thought I would go back down memory lane and go get a little project that and my son can work on.  I brought the car I have now around 3 weeks ago is on the road but needs some TLC to get it back to what it should be,  I am planning to be at the annual gathering I hopefully will meet a few of you.

hello and looks great.... any big plans or just use and drive

no big plans for this one, well not yet anyway  just tidy a few things up, I would like a hardtop to do a bigger project on at some point

Have also just bought a MK1as a project and also in the Midlands, although this is my first so I really am starting fresh!

Where about are you? I'm hoping there may be a few local people for those head scratching moments or a beer with a few mk1s parked in a decent pub carpark at some point!
