Just looking my first mk1 cab as a summer car to ride in and restore as i go along!
is there much difference between the 1.6 and the 1.8? Will be doing most of the work myself.

1.6 loves being revved

1.8 more talk (don't know how to spell it the right way

plently of knowlegable members on here who will be able to guide you in the right direction.
good luck on your hunt
P.s if looking at the cabs the 1.8 clipper a carb engine with less power then the gti units

I would presume that most 1.8 gti's have had the bu11ocks raced off them by now, so 1.6 or the clipper it is.
